Outstanding Red Mountain Cab from the superb 2001 vintage. Deftly balanced, with aromas of exotic spice, dark flowers, and mixed black and red fruit. Slightly dusty tannins that pair well with summer grillables. YUM!
In the nose, perfumed berry and cherry. In the mouth, big black cherry, currant, and blackberry. Tannins are robust and matched to the big sweet fruit flavors. Reminiscent of a Bordeaux, the years of aging have tamed the tannins while the fruit stays fresh and lush. -jean
