Tranche is the sister winery of Corliss Estate, one of the hottest new wineries in the Pacific Northwest. This is a great example of bigger, richer Chardonnay with great balance. Wine Enthusiast's Paul Gregutt, who knows Washington wine as well as literally anyone on the planet, went gaga for the Tranche:

Intensely concentrated and deeply extracted, it explodes with marvelously pure fruit flavors the full range of citrus, citrus peel and crisp tree fruits. Tranche's Chardonnay: scents of nectarine, peach blossom, dried pineapple, vanilla bean and papaya. Flavors of tropical fruits, pineapple and coconut oil. Scent and flavor lead to a finish of crisp acidity and floral notes. Tranche is sister winery to the esteemed Corliss Estates whose Cabernet is one of Washington State's most collectible wines.
