Trium WineryTrium [pronounced
TREE-um] is Latin for “of the
three.” The three are vineyards in the Rogue Valley Appellation.
The owners know a simple fact: great wine is made in the vineyard! That
truth joined six old friends in an ambitious enterprise: to grow in their
own vineyards the best grapes possible and from them to produce premium
wines.
The Trium Partners: Rebecca and Randy Gold own Gold
Vineyard near Talent,
Oregon. Not far away, are Laura and Kurt Lotspeich of Pheasant
Hill Vineyard.
Nancy Tappan and Vernon Hixson own Evans Creek and Venture Vineyards near
the City of Rogue River. All the Trium partners farm their vineyards using
eco-friendly practices and belong to LIVE Inc. (Low Input Viticulture and
Enology), a sustainable agricultural program.
The Vineyards Evans
Creek Vineyard is 13 acres of
grape vines: 5 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, 5 acres of Merlot, and 3
acres of Cabernet Franc.
Gold Vineyard, founded in
1984, is 18 acres of grape vines: 7.5 acres of Merlot, 2.5 acres of Cabernet
Franc, 3 acres of malbec, 2 acres of Chardonnay,
and
2 acres
of Viognier.
 Pheasant Hill Vineyard, in
Southern Oregon, is 18 acres of wine grapes: 5 acres of Merlot, 1.5 acres
of Cabernet Sauvignon, 1.5 acres of
Cabernet Franc, and 2 acres of Pinot gris.
