Previous Vintage Notes2005 Vintage tasting Notes Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 90+ points.
Wine Spectator 90 points: "Soft, supple and distinctly spicy, with a green olive note weaving through the black pepper-accented cherry and blackberry flavors. Drink now through 2012." 585 cases made.
Deep dark black cherry and black currant are combined with just a touch of minerality. A delicious food wine now, that craves a rich meal of roasted venison with dried cherry demi glace. -Avalon

Ken Wright's name is synonymous with Oregon Pinot Noir. But with this young winery in downtown Carlton, Ore., Wright is able to stretch his legs a bit and craft warm-climate wines using grapes from Southern Oregon and Eastern Washington. This Syrah is from the famed Del Rio Vineyard in Oregon's Rogue Valley and reveals aromas of sweet fruit, vanilla and chocolate tort. The flavors are a focused mix of dark, mouth-filling berries with a lingering finish. Food matches: Pair this luscious red wine with beef, lamb or duck.
