2010 Vintage Tasting Notes
The 2010 Underwood Pinot noir's limpid, translucent color is more that of a real Burgundy than a New World pinot noir. The mix of black cherry and bramble in the aroma is also convincing, finishing with hints of mulberry and balanced acidity, and no overlay of wood. But the low price is neither Burgundian nor New World. Enjoy it with cream pastas, game birds and other poultry, as well as mushroom dishes — and anytime subtle flavors are on the table. - Jon Christensen
2009 Vintage Tasting Notes
"This second-label offering from Union Wine Co. (which also produces Kings Ridge) is the best deal in Oregon pinot noir right now. Although the winery is headquartered in Tualatin, the fruit for this bargain-basement beauty was sourced from the Umpqua and Rogue valleys in the southern half of the state. A delightful every-night quaffer, it has notes of cherries and spice, with zippy acidity on the finish." - the Oregonian
The Underwood Pinot Noir exhibits aromas of cherry and spice, with subtle hints of vanilla. The palate is loaded with ripe dark fruit, cherry and blueberry, with great balance lending to a long finish. - the winery
