Walter Scott La Combe Verte Pinot noir 2010

I tasted the Verte and it went right to the top of my list of 2010 Pinots. A gorgeous, refreshing initial splash leads with fresh raspberries and a laser-like precision that glides across your mid palette. The white pepper finish makes this a nice step above other everyday-priced Pinots. It lives up to my high expectations of the 2010 vintage, meaning this wine is drinking beautifully right now AND has the structure to lay down for 8-10 years! - Andy

The dynamic duo behind Walter Scott are two of Oregon's star wine personalities. Ken Pahlow stumps for Evening Land Vineyards and Erica Landon is a well known Sommelier.

Pinot noirs in the blend:
Bishop Creek Vineyard, Yamhill Carlton AVA
Eola Springs Vineyard, Eola-Amity Hills AVA
Holstein Vineyard, Dundee Hills AVA
Hawks View Vineyard, Chehalem Mountain AVA
Medici Vineyard, Chehalem Mountains

Walter Scott La Combe Verte Pinot noir 09 -

The 2009 Walter Scott La Combe Verte Pinot Noir is a superb representation of what the ‘09 vintage is turning out thus far. A true Willamette Valley Pinot, which has Holstein, Bishop Creek, and Hawk’s View fruit. A splendid finish of caramel with a hint of basil follows the straightforward beautiful berry fruit on the tongue. - Andy

The 2009 La Combe Verte means "The Green Fault" or "The Green Valley" and was named for the amazing team at Patricia Green Cellars, that, without their help we would still be sorting grapes! Essentially, it is Patty Green's fault that we were able to start this project. This wine is a blend of the three vineyards that we source fruit from. - the winery
