Review:

This should have "Reserve" on the label, since it has another dimension of complexity, both in the nose and texture. Exotic and spicy, come-hither aromas. A creamy, rounded palate with a little bit of muscle. And a snappy raspberry and fresh blackberry core, accented by white pepper.

I loved drinking the first release of Walter Scott La Combe Verte Pinot noir 2010. So when winemaker Ken Pahlow called yesterday and offered us the first crack at a "second release" of it, barrel aged for an additional 8 months, I got excited.

Walter Scott co-owner and winemaker Ken Pahlow learned the craft at Evening Land, Patricia Green Cellars, and St. Innocent. He's one of the most exciting new producers in Oregon.
