An Oregon 2008, old-vine, Dundee Hills Pinot for $25?! The answer lies with the Oracle: Westrey Wines stunning estate-grown Pinot noir. Justice Vineyard 08
$28.45/$25.61 by the case
A knockout wine from Oregon's superstar 2008 vintage. The other Justice Vineyard designates sell for $50, making this a remarkable value. Flashy black fruit perfume leads into a burst of blackberry and huckleberry, plus mouthwatering acidity ideally balanced by a lingering sweetness of fruit and dried herbs. Like the best 08 Pinots, Justice 08 has fantastic structure and should be decanted if you're drinking now. So fun to have in the cellar!
Westrey Pinot noir Justice Vineyard 08 is the fifth vintage of this single vineyard Pinot noir made from Bethel Heights' Justice Vineyard fruit.

Abbey Ridge Vineyard 08
$35.95/$32.36 by the case
Drop dead sexy. Like Pavlov's dog, the bell rings, the wine is poured, we salivate. Raspberry pie from the oven, fresh cherries from the market. A magical sweet earth note. This is gorgeous stuff. According to winemaker David Autrey, this is the best wine that Westrey's made. We agree.

Pinot Gris 08
$15.95/$14.35 by the case
Westrey's Pinot gris is full of pear, white peach, and melon flavors, with a refreshing lift in the finish.
Matt Kramer, in the Oregonian, says: "A really good pinot gris is dry, has a succulent, dense texture and delivers scents and tastes of honeydew, white peach and citrus notes. This 2008 bottling hits all the right notes. A blend of three Willamette Valley vineyards - Sheppard (63 percent); Oracle (22 percent) and Abbey Ridge (15 percent) - this is Oregon grown pinot gris as it ought to be. Serve with all sorts of fish dishes (including salmon), as well as rich, spicy preparations such as Indian and Thai curries.
It's a standout deal at $15.95 a bottle." -8-8-09

Willamette Valley Chardonnay 08
$17.95/$16.16 by the case
Bosch pear and peach scents are accented by a hint of spice. Flavors open with Meyer lemon, then more peach and stone fruit, and a delightful Chablis-style minerality in the finish, softened by just the tiniest hint of buttery, still-warm croissant. Great value for such a special Chardonnay. - Jean
The Westrey Chardonnays are made by considering the scents, flavors, and textures of each barrel of Chardonnay in their vintage. The two wines are then blended from those barrels, with each wine's style based on the characteristics that Amy and David want for the wine.
