Review:

Review: At a recent large Oregon Pinot trade tasting, White Rose Lia's stood out as exceptional. One of their more limited production Pinots from the 2009 vintage, with only 96 cases total. White Rose embraces whole cluster fermentation, which adds an extra aromatic and flavor dimension. Combining richness and elegance, this sings with dark red fruit, incense, and a pinch of baking spices. While drinking well now, Lia's 09 will age nicely for 3-5 years. - Marcus

Whole cluster fermentation yielded soft tannins and delicate aromatics. Dark fruit, complimentary notes of earth and spice with excellent structure and length. Enjoy now or cellar through 2016.

Lia's Vineyard, formerly called Jacob Hart, is a 24 acre parcel of mostly south-facing slopes of primarily volcanic jory soils planted to Pommard, Wadenswil and Dijon 115 Pinot noir.
