Narcissa was the name of Marcus Whitmans' wife. Marcus was a missionary/explorer who settled in the Walla Walla Valley around 1834. His colony brought the first methods of "modern" farming, and civilization into the valley. He is remembered prominently in Walla Walla today (Whitman College, Whitman Hotel, and Whitman Cellars).
This Cabernet based blend is a big wine that complements grilled meats, tomato based dishes, spicy dishes, and hearty soups.
