This Cabernet based Meritage style blended wine reveals black currant, cassis, tobacco, leather, tar, black pepper, and smoky characteristics. This wine is showing balance between fruit flavors and tannin structure and will drink nicely for the next 5 years.

Narcissa was the name of Marcus Whitmans' wife. Marcus was a missionary/explorer who settled in the Walla Walla Valley around 1834. His colony brought the first methods of "modern" farming, and civilization into the valley. He is remembered prominently in Walla Walla today (Whitman College, Whitman Hotel, and Whitman Cellars).

This Cabernet based blend is a big wine that complements grilled meats, tomato based dishes, spicy dishes, and hearty soups.
