55% Viognier, 45% Roussanne- unusual and exotic, hints of passion fruit.

Wine Press NW says: "This new Washington winery prides itself on fruit from Alder Ridge (just downstream from Canoe Ridge on the Columbia River) and varieties outside the mainstream. This is a blend of 55 percent Viognier and 45 percent Roussanne, and it's marvelous. There's tremendous fruit in the nose with orange oil, pineapple, tangerine and lychee and some tropical spice notes. And it's a full-flavored wine with the same tropical fruits and ample acidity, including dried pineapple on the finish."

TASTING NOTES: This wine has intense aromas of tropical fruits and honey. It has a rich, full mouth feel with accents of passion fruit that is followed by a long lingering finish.

VINEYARD: Alder Ridge, Columbia Valley

FERMENTATION: 50% stainless steel fermented and 50% barrel fermented in 2-3 year old oak for 7 months

BLEND: 55% Viognier, 45% Roussanne
