Airlie Marechal Foch

Really good example of this unusual grape. Marechal Foch is an easy drinking fruity red, and has a loyal following in Oregon. Airlie makes one of the best. Marechal Foch is a fascinating grape that makes a big fruity wine with a little more dark structure and tannins than Merlot.

Excellent Rating~ Best Buy Wine Press Nothwest Spring 2004

From the winery: "This French-American hybrid produces a zesty, dry red, bursting with ripe blackberry, plum with a hint of chocolate. Soft tannin and smooth finish. The Willamette Valley's other BIG red is our answer to Merlot. Makes a great change of pace!"
