Oregon and Washington Wines We Love

These are the Oregon and Washington wines we love.

Here's our current selection of the standouts we've recently discovered. Hundreds of bottles of northwest wine pass through our store each month. Oregon and Washington have never produced as many excellent wines as they do today. Check back often - we place a different list of our favorites on this page each week - the wines we love.

At right, David O'Reilly, owner and winemaker at Owen Roe.

Owen Roe big Washington reds are often listed among the wines we love. His wines are frequent choices for our Washington Big Reds Club, and we predicted the success of his Chapel Block Syrah in 2007, sending it to our club before it received a record 97 point score from Wine Spectator.

The Owen Roe label sources fruit from many vineyards in Oregon adn Washington, and even one Pinot Noir vineyard in the Santa Maria region in Northern California. O'Reilly makes Pinot Noir from the Dundee Hills, Chehalem and Eola Hills and Kilmore vineyards to name a few. His popular Abbot's Table is a blend from vineyards throughout the Northwest. A Cabernet Sauvignon is made from an obscure vineyard in Southern Oregon (Ironbird Vineyard) that O'Reilly discovered in one of the 'drive-arounds.'
