2010 Vintage Tasting Notes
We found a few cases of the 2010 Select Pinot noir (March 2012). Made from the winery's Ribbon Ridge Appellation's fruit, it's Doug's great value Pinot - all of the complexity and nuance of his trademark wines in an up-front, ready to drink style.
2009 Vintage Tasting Notes
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 91 points
The 2009 Pinot Noir Select offers up an enticing perfume of cinnamon, clove, rose petal, and red fruits. In the glass it opens to reveal a velvety-textured, vibrant, nicely proportioned Pinot from beginning to end. It is meant for drinking now and over the next 4-5 years.
Forward and classy, with a fruit-filled nose accented by dried roses and herbs. The flavors echo the aromas - red cherries and sweet raspberry provide a silky wash of flavors. The finish is pure and creamy, adding a touch of fresh blackberry and cedar. Doug's first 09 Pinot release bodes well for his later offerings. Farmed Biodynamically. - Marcus
2007 Vintage Tasting Notes
"... a very light, cloudy ruby color in the glass, offering scents of fresh strawberry fruit, a bit of dusty eucalyptus, and understated floral notes. Red berry fruit flavors predominated this biodynamic/organic pinot, going from strawberry to cherry, with balanced acidity and smooth texture leading to a long, delicious finish, without any hint of oak along the way." - beyondthebottle.com
