Wine Press NW rating "excellent"! "This Walla Walla, Wash., winery, owned by Chalone of Napa, continues its tradition of huge Cabs. Plums, cola and milk chocolate are easily discovered in the bouquet, along with hints of vanilla, herbs and some barnyard character. Plums, chalky tannins and bittersweet chocolate dominate the palate."
2002 vintage is 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, all from the 150 acre Estate vineyard. Made by Kevin Mott, who is now a winemaker at Woodward Canyon.![]()
