Despite the year‐to‐year fluctuation in varietal composition (an evolving mixture of Sangiovese, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Primitivo, Merlot, Cab Sauv, Cab Franc, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Counoise & Pinot noir), this Rosato has remained consistent in its ebullient expression of tree fruit mixed with tropical notes, a rounded mid‐palate and bright, refreshing acids. The 2009 vintage, like the others before it, displays these same qualities, showing zesty cherries, ripe watermelon, and subtle notes of kaffir zest and lingering citrus. - the winery
