Cana’s Feast Sangiovese Grosso Ciel du Cheval Vineyard 07

The 2007 Sangiovese Grosso is comprised entirely of the VCR6 clone (one of the Sangiovese Grosso clones known to produce Brunello) sourced from Ciel du Cheval vineyard in the Red Mountain region of Washington. Less than four acres of this clone were planted exclusively for us in 2002, and is the first certified planting of the VCR6 clone in the United States.

This much‐anticipated release reveals concentrated aromas of black cherry and red fruits integrated with a subtle hint of sweet pipe tobacco and barrel spice. Aged for 16 months in French oak.
