Domaine Drouhin Chardonnay Arthur 09
The 09 Chardonnay is a unique blend of wine-making techniques. Half of the juice was fermented in French Oak, the rest in stainless steel. This combination created a round, rich texture. This wine is an elegant expression of Chardonnay.

2007 Vintage Tasting Notes
Domaine Drouhin's Arthur Chardonnay shows that 2006 provided an abundance of wonderfully ripe & healthy fruit displayed by the complexity in the Arthur. The nose first reveals aromas of carnation & magnolia followed by a hint of toast & lemon zest. After some time, the bouquet transitions to lemon verbena, cantaloupe & lychee. Wonderfully balanced, the Arthur is round & full on the palate leading into a clean, fresh, lingering finish. This incredible length suggests pairings of shellfish & ripe cheeses, or cellaring for 3-5 years.
This wine is a wonderful compliment to shellfish, especially oysters and soft-shell crab. It should also be enjoyed with ripe cheeses, and of course all kinds of fish.
