The driest winter in recent history gave way to a moderate spring with good bloom conditions. Excellent set resulted in large clusters and moderate berry size. Crop thinning was performed on three occasions: pre-veraison, color thinning, and wing removal as the final adjustment. Harvest consitions were very good with ample hang time for ripe flavor development and lush flavors. C?te Sud is one of the seven vineyards of Domaine Serene's Evenstad Estate located atop the southernmost of the Dundee Hills of Oregon. It is situated on a south-facing slope ranging from 550' - 680' in elevation. The center block of this vineyard was planted to Chardonnay in 1992 and is a combination of Dijon clones # 75, 76, 78, 95 and 96.
