Erath Pinot Noir Leland 09

Aromas of cherry and red currant abound mingled with vanilla and cinnamon-laced chocolate. The mouthfeel is silky and the Leland acidity gives it a pleasing lift.

2009 Wine Advocate - 92 points - Although light in color, the 2009 Pinot Noir Leland Vineyard offers up a seamless, intense, beautifully elegant wine reminiscent of a quality Chambolle-Musigny. This lengthy effort has the concentration and balance to blossom for another 2-3 years and will provide enjoyment through 2021. Erath is once again a name to be reckoned with in the Willamette Valley wine scene as the investment by the Chateau Ste. Michelle Wine Group is starting to pay dividends. - Jay Miller

2007 Wine Spectator - 90 points - Light in color but complex in flavor, with lots of cinnamon, clove and other spices weaving through the red berry flavors, lingering gently on the refined finish. Drink now through 2014. 925 cases made. - H.S.
