Wine Spectator 89 points: "A crisp, lively style of Viognier that has the requisite honeysuckle and pear aromas and flavors, finishing with a distinct lime note and zingy acidity. Drink now through 2006. 503 cases made." (HS)

From the winery: "The color is light - golden straw. The aromas are lemon - lime - orange zest along with ripe summer apples and a touch of lychee and barrel toast. The flavors echo the aromas. The body is rich and mouth filling with a great combination of lusciousness and crispness (complements of 6 grams of acidity per liter). I would recommend serving this fine wine with foods from the Alsace (rabbit or poultry served with rich - highly seasoned cream sauces) or seafood and shellfish seasoned with fragrant tarragon and or basil based cream sauces. Or simply, saut? the seafood and season with herbs of your choice!"

Detailed Info, Previous Vintage Notes, Reviews:

From the winery: "All of the fruit used to craft this wine was harvested from our renowned Kestrel View Estate vineyard. The soils found on the southern portion of this site are a tad heavier and deeper than those found on the northern part of the Viognier planting. The soils on northern part of the planting are somewhat stonier and more shallow than the loamy - sandy southern portion. The site's slope is to the south - southeast and moderate."
