Floral peach aroma with a crisp, refreshing finish. Contains a hint of residual sugar. Excellent food wine. Whistle clean, floral, spicy aromas with luscious mouth filling flavors are the trademark of well made Northwest Rieslings. Kiona's Riesling is crafted from selected vineyards noted for specific riesling characters, blended, and finished slightly sweet (2 - 2.5% residual sugar) with enough acid for a perfect balance.
Wine and Spirits Magazine has called Kiona a producer of note who consistently wins medals over the years for its Riesling.

From the winery: "Bright fruity aromas of honeysuckle, apricots and spice. Nearly dry on the palate, clean crisp finish. excellent sugar acid balance, fully integrated wine with good composition throughout.
The European home for dry Rieslings is the Alsace area on the central French-German border. Rieslings from Alsace are bone dry and very hard, but also very appealing to those who have grown to recognize their special qualities. Few dry Rieslings are produced in the U.S. today largely because the term "Dry" suggests a very austere character which appeals to a limited audience. This is changing however as discriminating, value conscious consumers are finding well made dry Riesling a viable alternative to more expensive dry white wines. At Kiona we retain a just a hint of residual sugar to soften the wine providing a wonderful dry Riesling character without the harshness of a bone dry wine."
WPNW Review (Spring 2001) Tart green apple aromas and nice pear and apple flavors. Round and flavorful, this wine has big acids for a long finish. Won gold at the Taster?s Guild International Wine Judging.
