Medici Winery building

Medici Vineyard was planted by Hal and Dotty Medici in 1976, making it one of the oldest vineyards in the area. On a steep slope that rises 1000 feet above the valley, Peter makes Estate grown Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot noir, and occasionally, ice wine.

Medici wines are a local secret, with most of the quite reasonably priced offerings snatched up at the winery by locals who know a good thing. Made with the same care and attention to detail that makes the Sineann wines so good, the Medici Riesling and Pinot noir are particularly popular.

Medici's wines are available by special order from Avalon Wine. Call or email us for more information.

Above the winery, the owners have recently planted lavender, and built a classic barn. In an area nearby, new vines are planted.

Did you know that the nationally know, cult status Sineann Winery is based at Medici Vineyards? Yes, Peter Rosback works his magic from Medici's wood shingled cottage high on the hills over the Willamette Valley. In the same building, the barrels of highly sought after Sineann "Baby Poux", "Block One Cab" and "Wyeast pinot noir" rest, waiting bottling and lucky owners.
