From the winery: "This wine was harvested at an average brix of close to 25. Several lots were harvested by the end of September while other vineyards did not ripen until October. This wine was fermented in stainless tanks and was punched down or pumped over two to three times per day. This 2002 shows the warmth and ripeness of the vintage. Rich flavors of ripe cherries and black fruits marry nicely with spice and vanilla from French and American barrels. This beautifully textured red wine will be great with wood-fired pizza or a myriad of pasta dishes. There is certainly ample fruit to age this wine for several years but it has been produced to enjoy young. Salude!"
