![]() Panther Creek WinesPanther Creek Cellars is one of Oregon's "primarily Pinots" wineries, with a history of carefully crafted, very ageworthy Pinot noirs. Robert Parker (Wine Advocate) says: "Panther Creek wines are some of Oregon's most beautifully packaged (stylish label, heavy glass bottles), and are also among the most concentrated and age worthy wines now being made in Oregon... Panther Creek has established itself as one of the most consistent, high quality Oregon wineries." |

More About Panther Creek Cellars
The winery is located in McMinnville's former power plant. The massive brick building was built in 1923 and provided power to the city for many decades. Panther Creek took it over in 1989 and their tasting room sits right in the middle of their production area, giving visitors a glimpse of the winemaking process amongst the tanks and barrels. Panther Creek Cellars has been producing top quality wines (primarily Pinot noir) since 1986. Panther Creek's winemaker is Michael Stevenson. The winery produces about 7,500 cases annually, about 90 percent of which is Pinot noir. Philosophically, Panther Creek's philosophy is to be minimal interventionists. The winemakers work hard in the vineyards to obtain the best fruit, then expend their best efforts to coax from the fruit all it can give, without resorting to filtering, fining or additives. |
