2006 released November, 2007.

Black cherry, black currant and black pepper aromas lead into a creamy, broad palate of fresh blackberry, red cherry and violets. A purity of both red and black fruits combined with round tannins provide a lingering finish of baking spice and vanilla. Previous vintage, 2005, tasting notes: Lynn Penner Ash has the Midas touch! Great concentration and luscious cherry and blackberry flavors prevail, with complex notes of incense and nicely integrated oak. Always a customer favorite, the wine is youthfully open for near-term drinking but well-balanced for longer-term cellaring. This is a dazzling Oregon Pinot Noir.

Lynn Penner Ash makes succulent, powerful yet graceful Pinots. Any Pinot lover who has tried Lynn's wines, the Penner Ash Pinots or the brilliant Dusky Goose, can attest.

"Aromas of ripe red cherry, wild berries and blackberry with touches of cinnamon and sandlewood. Rich dense textured mouth follows the fruit and spice filled aromas. Juicy rounded tannins present a seamless lingering finish." - the winery

2004 Vintage Tasting Notes and Ratings

Tanzer 91 points: "Red with a bright rim. Powerful aromas of exotic oak spice and medicinal cherry are accented by bitter chocolate and dried rose. A big, lush, mouth filling pinot with a round texture and dense, sweet cassis and smoky kirsch flavors that build and expand without losing their precision. Really stains the palate on the back, finishing on floral and dark berry notes."

Fresh red cherry and pie spice, with plenty of fresh nutmeg. Lovely core of red fruits wrapped with a ribbon of sweet vanilla bean. Very silky tannins allow the finish to linger. -M.L.
