Detailed Info, Previous Vintage Notes, Reviews:

If you've tried and enjoyed Caymus's Conundrum, Archery Summit's Vireton, you must try Ponzi's incredible Arneis....

This very rare and very special Italian varietal is traditionally planted in the Northern Piemonte region of Italy. The wine is crisp, yet has a haunting, delectable flavor of intertwined mineral and fruit notes, with hints of lemon peel, white peach, honeydew melon, and finishes with a clean, honeyed note.

Aromas of peach and toasted nuts persist through the palate of Ponzi Arneis ... Oregon's first and only production of this ancient northern Italian varietal.

This unique dry white wine perfectly represents the Ponzi Family's commitment to innovation and discovery. Upon being introduced to Arneis during one of their many trips to visit the Currado Family of Italy's Vietti Winery, Dick and Nancy were delighted by the wine's lovely flavors and balance. They quickly returned to Oregon's Willamette Valley to plant their first Arneis in 1991 - and became one of just three Arneis producers in the United States.

The grapes are whole cluster pressed and cool fermented in 50% stainless steel and 50% neutral French oak barrels. It is lightly filtered, then gravity fed to the bottling line and released immediately for your enjoyment.
