Oregon Wine Report says:"Steely pale straw yellow color. Light aromas of candied lemon peel and toast. Creamy texture carries lightly-styled flavors of lemons, grapefruit peel, and green apples. Strong acidic backbone give good brightness to the fruit. Medium length finish shows a tart citrus-peel aspect. Pleasing, straightforward, and well-made."From the winery: "Ponzi Chardonnay has evolved tremendously over the last 30 years. Consistency of quality has remained paramount through their experiments, discoveries and new tools. Luisa has recently learned the importance of critical clone selection, control of yields, crucial picking times, balancing the acidity and truly letting the wines express themselves. This wine blends new Dijon Clones and old Chardonnay vines presenting a wine with lovely structure and depth."
