Powers Chardonnay 06/07
Beautiful aromas of nectarine, ripe kiwi, watermelon, vanilla, and oak spice invite you to look deeper for the streak of mineral. The flavors follow along with nutmeg, peach cobbler, and slightly buttery and oaky notes. The finish is long and broad, balanced by a lingering crispness.

MORE INFORMATION
From the winery: "2004 produced another nice, ripe vintage of Muscat Canelli from Mercer Ranch (73% of the total), and for the first time this blend includes organic fruit from our Estate Vineyard (27%). Muscat is one of the few varieties that is critical to hand harvest, and all of the fruit arrived in great shape. Quickly pressed, chilled, and settled, the clarified juice from each vineyard fermented separately . A specific yeast strain (VL1) for Muscat was used for fermentation, which was stopped at about 4% residual sugar, balancing the high natural acidity in both lots. It was blended and bottled in October 2004."
