This 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon "Reserve" is comprised of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, and 4% Cabernet Franc. It was aged in new American oak barrels for 17 months. The blending of grapes makes for an incredibly smooth wine, yet full-bodied with lots of fruit flavors.

HARVEST INFO: Wow, what a harvest! This was one of the best in the past 12 years. Just a perfect growing season - very similar to that of 1995. By keeping our crop yield low, we were able to produce outstanding fruit that is perfectly balanced between the sugar and acid levels. This gives red grape varietals a deeper color and more intense flavor.

FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS: Cabernet Sauvignon is a great match-up with red meats like prime rib and filets, herbed beef steaks and roasts, and wild game such as venison.
