Quilceda Creek Red Table Wine 05

The "everyday" red wine from master Cabernet producer Quilceda Creek.

Stephen Tanzer says: "Deeper ruby-red. Reticent aromas of black cherry, licorice and mint; very cabernet. Sweeter and lusher than the '99; really coats the palate with dark fruit and licorice flavor. Here the tannins are finer and smoother. Score: 89-90"
Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar

From the winery: "The 2000 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Red is made from fruit and barrels declassified from our top offerings. It is a rich, medium-bodied wine full of black cherries, marzipan, smoke and spices. Demonstrating nice balance, this wine represents an excellent value and should be enjoyed now or over the next 10 years."
