MORE INFORMATION
Stephen Tanzer says: "Deeper ruby-red. Reticent aromas of black cherry, licorice and mint; very cabernet. Sweeter and lusher than the '99; really coats the palate with dark fruit and licorice flavor. Here the tannins are finer and smoother. Score: 89-90"
Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar
From the winery: "The 2000 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Red is made from fruit and barrels declassified from our top offerings. It is a rich, medium-bodied wine full of black cherries, marzipan, smoke and spices.
Demonstrating nice balance, this wine represents an excellent value and should be enjoyed now or over the next 10 years."Vintage Notes:
