First had a Sineann Pinot at Bistro Aix in San Francisco (wonderful, funky restaurant by the way). I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Later found out the one I had was their third or fouth best. Then I tried an "03 Resonance Valley which was a Wine Spectator "94". Knocked my socks off. I finally called the vineyard and ordered a case of the '04 Resonance Valley. I've only drunk one bottle because I'm going to cellar it for a couple years, but MAN!!! It is awesome; dark red, full-bodied, luscious. Kind of like Maureen O'Hara in "The Quiet Man." |
