I am not sure just when my wife and I started drinking this wine, but I know it was a while ago. I just found a bottle of '99 in the corner of the cellar. With a little trepidation I opened it, all looked well. Color- strong red, taste - good, especially if I slurped just a bit on front of tongue lots of intense berry tastes. Don't think this wine was intended to age, but it was fresh and wonderful. Last month I found two bottles of 2002. One was corked, and the other was obviously past its prime, light flavored but otherwise great. The 2004 continues to meet all expectations. I was pleased to see it featured at the Shoalwater in Long Beach as the top 'by the drink wine'. Three cases of this sit in my cellar, so we tried something else. |
