It's a 4-star at the price point. It wouldn't surprise me to find a northwest wine of this quality priced at $16 to $22. If it were I'd give it a 3. But at less than ten bucks, you're not likely to find better. It does not have the jammy, in-your-face fruit of some cab-merlot blends. Instead, Kamiak gives you a straightforward "big red" taste, first with a definite but not overwhelming raspberry, then with a trace of oak and a smooth finish. You can't go wrong here. |
