| This unique blend of wines works. A very pleasant wine that seduces you with its balance instead of a smack-in-the-face wow. Besides its oakiness, there are no flavors that overwhelm you. I tasted some vvanilla, cassis. tobacco, green pepper, chocolate but had to work to identify the flavors. Trying to understand this wine is not the idea with this wine. Just drink anytime by itself or with all of the typical red wine dishes (from a light marinira sauce to a simple hamburger to a filet poivre) and enjoy. This wine defines balance, which could be its only critism because of its lack of signature flavors. Not many under $20 wines are this smooth, rich and tasty. | ||||

The combination surprised me! This is a smooth wine that is paired nicely with pizza or pasta, but can easily be paired with a green salad, or alone. I will keep this wine in my cellar for "anytime". |
