MORE INFORMATION
The winery says: The 2002 season saw warm to hot weather that helped develop the fruit, while cool nights preserved natural acidity. A hot bloomtime caused shatter, reducing the crop and concentrating flavors. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes had more hangtime, maximizing intense and concentrated fruit flavors. Intense nose of Bing cherry, blackberry and liquorice aromas with a delicate touch of sweet vanilla and chocolate. On the palate, dark cherry flavors and round tannins with a splash of cocoa powder on the lingering finish. Excellent balance. Although this Cabernet Sauvignon is very approachable now, it will continue to gain complexity with a few years of bottle aging.
