BIG lush Syrah -- scents range from white flowers, cocoa, toasted coffee beans, and a hint of pine needles that comes from the synergy of aging on the skins of Viognier grapes and the La Tour barrel toast. Flavors start with a big, rich mouth feel, elegant black fruit, red cherry, an intriguing hint of smoke, and a bit more pine needles. The wine has a long finish with seamless tannins and just the right amount of acidity for food pairing.

Made from four different vintages, aged in French and Hungarian oak barrels, fermented with Viognier skins, adding a very subtle hint of white flowers and meshing with the La Tour barrels to add that unusual and quite pleasant hint of pine tree.

Blended from several vineyards within the Columbia Valley. 2000 was a warm vintage which ended with a typical dry September and October, bringing the grapes to ripeness. As with all our wines, the grapes were hand-picked; harvest weather was perfect.
