Layers of black raspberry, blackberry, cassis, and black plum unwind and are wrapped with mocha and black pepper. The tannins soften with time, so either pair this with a hearty slab of red meat or give a little time in cellar. A real mouthful of Cab! Not currently available to order. TASTING NOTES 2004 VINTAGE

The winemaker, Peter Rosback, says: "Every year we're more impressed with the fruit we get off Terry McDuffee's vineyard. Tiny black berries, bursting with flavor, from a vineyard that is cropped at less than two tons per acre. The wine is dark, intensely flavorful, with leather and tar components and a long finish."

The wine is intense. Lots of bacon fat, smoke, big toasty espresso bean, dense black cherry, long long finish. This vintage, it's a combination of fruit from McDuffee Vineyard and Rosa Vineyard.
