Three Rivers Winery Three
Rivers Winery is different from any other winery in the Walla Walla
area, where it is located. It features a very "Napaesque" vaulted
ceiled tasting room with a huge fireplace, snuggly leather sofas, and
large boutique retail shopping area. There's a three hole golf course
outside. While at most Walla Walla wineries, the owner or family members
pause from work to pour you a taste, Three Rivers Winery has a huge
tasting bar with professional servers to pour wine and answer questions.
There's a large deck overlooking the vineyards and countryside for
picnicking and watching the golfers. The winery has become a popular
place for business meetings and weddings.
Three
Rivers Winery is named for the three rivers in the two appellations
where its vineyard sources are located-
the Columbia, Snake, and Walla Walla rivers. ("walla walla" means "many
rivers" in the native Indian tongue.) The winery was founded in
1998 and is located between Walla Walla and Lowden along Hwy 12.
