Tualatin Frizzante Semi Sparkling Muscat 09
Tualatin Frizzante Semi Sparkling Muscat 09 - Robert Parker (Wine Advocate) says: 89 POINTS!
"The Tualatin Semi-Sparkling Muscat is a clone of an Italian Moscato d'Asti. Its boisterous orange blossom and raspberry aromas lead to a fresh, zesty, medium-bodied personality. This velvety-textured wine has tangy orange, red berry, and floral flavors in its character. Like the Italian Moscatos, it has low alcohol (6.5%) and an off-dry sweetness. It should be drunk over the next 6-8 months as an aperitif, or as I like to drink this style of wine, while watching the first football games of the season on warm Sundays. This is an excellent value that should be consumed over the next six months."Oregon Wine Blog says: "The wine has been described to me as "Sprite in a wine bottle" but it is really so much more! The amazing fruit-forward qualities of this wine make it drinkable on the hottest of summer days as well as the coolest of winter evenings.
This evening just so happened to be one of those record hot summer evenings here in the mid-Willamette Valley. The wine is specifically a mild semi-sparkling muscat. For those who do not like muscat, they may have a hard time enjoying this wine. However, if you can enjoy a sweet wine, you will most certainly enjoy this one. With a great palette of peaches, citrus rind, and orange blossoms, this wine serves as a great intro into the realm of wine for those who have never had the wine experience required to get them started."

WPNW Review: "This spritzy white wine starts with lovely floral aromas and tangerine and citrus flavors. It has an intriguing orange spice character. Won gold at the Northwest Enological Society judging." From the winery: "Sweet. Explosive aromas of the Early Muscat grape, peaches, citrus rind, flower blossoms and papaya. Flavors mirror the aromas with mouth watering fresh acidity and dissolved carbon dioxide (CO2) balancing the sweetness. The finish is lively, clean and fresh, inviting another sip. Light bodied, fresh and crisp styled wine."
