2002 notes: -- Tanzer 89- he says: "A project of Oregon-based Ken Wright; about two-thirds cabernet sauvignon and one-third merlot. Medium ruby-red, vibrant aromas of red currant, tobacco, chocolate, game and subtle oak. Sweet, dense, concentrated and pliant, with flavors enlivened by firm acids. Offers an intriguing saline nuance and very good innerpalate energy. Brisk finish features firm but sweet tannins."

2001 notes: "A dark wine, blended from Walla Walla grapes, a tad closed but opening with aeration to show blue and black fruit flavors, spicy notes of anise, cinnamon, and pepper, and finishing with a lovely long complex dance in the mouth. Have with grilled lamb, with a side of grilled Walla Walla onions!"
