Wine Enthusiast 2008 Vintage- 92 pts! - Half Sangiovese and half Cabernet Sauvignon, the Bello Rosso marries immediate appeal with the structure for some additional years of aging. Boysenberry and vivid black-cherry flavors show excellent definition and penetration, and are highlighted with barrel accents of clove and sweet spices. Over many hours this wine continued to improve and expand. — P.G

Walla Walla Vintners Bello Rosso 06 - "the winery's "version of a super-Tuscan. Once again, half is old-vine Sagemoor cabernet sauvignon, half is sangiovese. Washington sangiovese is the most successful of the Italian varietals grown here, and this lovely blend, with its appealing softness, mixes dried herbs and spicy red fruit with hints of mushroom and olive." "...The deep color and smell of porcini mushrooms, sweet leather, Sicilian olives, roasted eggplant and black truffle makes this a divine wine.
