The vintage provided us with lively blackberry and black current aromas accented by oak notes. The supple tannins in the mounth give way to lingering berry flavors.The complex varietal characteristics of the Cabernet Sauvignon grape are revealed in the raspberry, cassis, and tobacco aromas. From the dark color to the full body, the excellence of the 1998 vintage can be seen. Seven different Columbia Valley vineyards contributed to this wine. The final blend was 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, and 11% Merlot.
