Wine Spectator continues to praise Oregon’s 2012 Pinots. The 94 point “Attaché” from Maison L’Envoyé arrived yesterday. This exciting new label is the brainchild of Mark Tarlov, the original creative force behind Evening Land.

We opened a bottle as soon as it arrived and found it lovely and expressive indeed, brimming with dark berry and cherry flavors on a seamless frame. Maison L’Envoyé will have offerings from Oregon, Burgundy, and Beaujolais. The Oregon wines are made by Mike Etzel Jr. (son of Beaux Freres founder Mike Etzel and co-winemaker of Horsetail/Coattails).
