“Astonishing…it can stand alongside top tier Bordeaux costing four or five times as much.”
It’s little wonder Leonetti Cellar wines are cherished by customers as something very special and a must for any discerning wine collector. Chris continues the tradition started 30 years ago by his father, Gary. And now, with the Figgins Family Estate Winery, he adds his own imprimatur to the clan.
Leonetti is one of the most famous small wineries in the Pacific Northwest – and perhaps in the nation. The Walla Walla, Washington winery’s Cabernet Sauvignons and Merlots have received lofty ratings by international wine media and are ranked as some of the best in the world. With 98 points for only his second Figgins Estate wine, it looks like Chris is headed the same direction.

It’s a sophisticated blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Merlot, from the Figgins Vineyard, with gorgeous aromas of flowers, spices and black fruits. Seamless and long, complex and forceful without being overpowering, it can stand alongside top tier Bordeaux costing four or five times as much. – Paul Gregutt
The wine shows beautiful dark ruby color to the rim. It exhibits an incredible purity of black and blue fruits, speckled with a potpourri of heirloom rose petals, earth and balsam wood. On the palate the wine has massive amounts of sumptuous fruit as if derived from a berry compote reduction, incredible length, cleansing acidity, and an absolutely seamless finish. – Chris Figgins, winemaker
